Frequently Asked Questions
Question:
My husband and I, will be arriving at Heathrow Airport at 12 noon. We fly out of Heathrow at 10:30 pm that same night. So, during that time between flights, say between 1:00 or 1:30 and about 8pm, we would like to explore London a bit and have dinner there. Do you have a recommendation for a short (inexpensive) tour that either leaves from the airport or is not difficult to get to from the airport?
Answer:
Take a combined transfer/tour for your stopover in Heathrow! Go to the website: www.londontourguides.com and click on: 'Airport Transfers' where you will find details. Arrival time fluctuates much more lately and there are many other factors that will make it impractical for you both to join a set programme. You may not be able to reach the tour in time. You may be travelling with your suitcases, or you may be leaving from a different airport. A car tour from the airport and returning by car to the airport will provide you with considerable savings (plus more time for dinner in a romantic old Pub). Early booking of the driver-guide is advised as this is a very popular choice for a stopover.
Question:
I will be coming to London soon and would like to know if you offer accessible bus/van tours of London. I will be traveling with my husband and 2 adult children from the USA. Please write back to let me know what types of services you offer for disabled persons.
Answer:
We have many years experience on disabled clients and we welcome them anytime. Although most British historic sites have facilities for the disabled, many places only have partial facilities. (i.e. the Tower of London springs to mind) Therefore, you are sensible in detailing to us the type of disability to enable us to organize the extra space, wheelchair, extra lifting and advice on suitable tours. Large busses do not have facilities up and down and in and out.
Question:
Booking request from London Tours website: We would like to book Boat Tour 821 to Greenwich (for 2). Can we make a day of it?
Answer:
Your choice will provide you with a very enjoyable day out. (Details of Greenwich historic sites in our website) The tour is half day, 09.00 - 13.00, but should you wish to stay at a more leisurely pace, we can arrange it for you. In order to send you further details, please let us know where you are staying in London and if you are adults or senior.
Question:
Thank you for your prompt reply. We are adults (not seniors! - yet!). We'll be staying in a B & B in the Victoria area. Can let you know. We leave Australia next week and will be in London in a month's time. We'd like to finalise our tour before we leave as we won't have access to email after that. Can we get a return boat later in order to give us more time in Greenwich?
Answer:
Yes!
Question:
We will be arriving on a cruise to Dover with a group of 60 people. We need to reserve the transfer from Dover pier to London, with a stop at Leeds Castle for a tour, and lunch at the restaurant of your choice. Then the next day, a full day guided tour No 0234 with an inside visit to Tower of London and lunch again at the restaurant of your choice. Before going back to the hotel those that would like to stay in for shopping can, and the remainder would be taken to the hotel and later to the theater for dinner and show.
Answer:
Complete programme attached. Please confirm receipt as sometimes even legitimate emails trigger one of the filters of the receiving ISP and the email will not be delivered. To make matters worse, neither party will never know it wasn't delivered as most ISP's simply dump it into hyperspace!
